Cosori Air Fryer review: We reviewed the best-selling air fryer on Amazon

cosori air fryer - cosori smart air fryer - cosori air fryer max xl

cosori air fryer max xl reviews :The cosori smart air fryer is a drawer style, like many of the greatest air fryers. It has a removable cooking section that allows you to remove a frying basket out of the base and tip out your fries or fresh chicken wings, leaving any fat or liquids in the bottom of the drawer.

When compared to many of the air fryers I've used over the years, this one is likewise a good value. I was able to compare the cosori air fryer xl to models from Ninja and Instant Brands after testing several fryers with my perfected french fry recipe. While it isn't the most adaptable air fryer I've ever tested, it is excellent at producing fast fries and chicken wings.

First impressions of the Cosori Air Fryer

The Cosori Air Fryer comes packaged in a huge box, completely assembled and ready to use. On the lower half of the fryer, there is a basket that sits inside a drawer. You can remove the basket from the drawer by sliding forward a plastic panel and pressing a button, which removes the basket full with air fried food on the attached handle. The design is similar to the Proscenic T21 Smart Air Fryer, but it's sturdier and the basket doesn't dangle as much from the handle.

The cosori smart air fryer has a sleek and textured plastic body that comes in black, white, and red. My air fryer came with a sticker warning me not to touch the exterior of the air fryer while it's cooking because it gets very hot. During my testing, I had no problems with this and found the cosori air fryer xl to be safe to use in the corner of my kitchen.

The air fryer's body has two grooves in which you may rest your hands, making it comfortable to carry. Given its size, it's also quite light, making it a suitable choice for storing away from the kitchen and retrieving as needed.

How powerful is the Cosori Air Fryer?

1700 watts power the Cosori Air Fryer. This is comparable to other air fryers on the market. The Ninja Foodi is 1500 watts and the Power Air Fryer Oven is 1700 watts, respectively.

The faster the food cooks, the higher the wattage.

Consider a light bulb as an example. The brighter the light, the higher the wattage of the light bulb.

The Presets

The cosori smart air fryer bills itself as having the most presets of any air fryer. If you've never used an air fryer before, these are excellent choices!

Among the presets are:

  • Steak
  • Poultry
  •  Seafood
  • Shrimp
  • Bacon
  • Frozen Foods
  • French Fries
  • Vegetables
  • Root Vegetables
  • Bread
  • Desserts
  • Preheat

Any presets that require shaking during cooking (such as french fries) have a unique and useful shake reminder feature.

Presets are not something I utilize because not all foods are the same. I can't just put Air Fried Oreos in the air fryer and expect them to cook like an Apple Crisp just because I hit the sweets button.

The presets are a fantastic alternative for air fryer beginners and those who want to test out a new recipe but don't know what temperature to start with.

Using the Cosori Air Fryer

Many air fryers include preset options for different sorts of food, which I'm hesitant to use because no two recipes are exactly the same. The cosori air fryer xl, on the other hand, comes with 100 recipes for these 14 settings, including seafood, bread, bacon, root vegetables, and french fries.

The Cosori Air Fryer's controls are simple to operate. It's digital, and you can choose from a number of options by pushing the touch panel. The air fryer can be started by pressing the central power button. Then it's only a matter of choosing your desired setting and, if necessary, modifying the temperature and time.

The cosori smart air fryer beeps whenever you press a button, but the panel is responsive and easy to start, pause, and pre-heat. When you start the cooking process, the controls are responsive and display the remaining time.

When you pull out the drawer in the middle of a cook, the air fryer automatically pauses and resumes once the drawer is replaced.

A page in the guidebook explains how to utilize the presets, including how to change the time and temperature for different foods. This indicates which setting to use for meatballs, chicken wings, corn, frozen chicken nuggets, and other items.

I loved testing the Mongolian chicken wings and roasted cauliflower recipes, as well as the potato wedges recipe, with these dishes to familiarize myself with the air fryer.

How good is the Cosori at air frying?

cosori air fryer review

When it comes to air frying, the cosori air fryer xl excels. It fried frozen french fries until they were perfectly crisp and made wonderful crispy wedges from scratch. On certain presets, the cosori smart air fryer features a "shake" setting that sounds a loud beep five times to remind you to shake your food in the tray. This is useful, especially for evenly cooking french fries, but if you don't shake it right away, the same sound will repeat itself a minute later, which might be unpleasant.

I created air-fried chicken wings, buffalo cauliflower bits, and potato chip nachos with fresh guacamole for my cosori air fryer max xl reviews. The finished product was very wonderful, crisp and evenly cooked.

I have no qualms about the cosori smart air fryer ability to air fry evenly, and the preset cooking settings make sense given the various food classifications. The default setting for steak is 205°C for 6 minutes, and the vegetable setting is 150°C for 10 minutes, with a "shake" reminder halfway through.

Cleaning the Cosori Air Fryer

Cleaning the cosori air fryer xl is simple, which is a huge positive in the argument between air fryers and deep fryers. The basket and drawer may both be washed in the dishwasher, and the exterior wipes clean.

Both products are rather large, so they were a little difficult to fit into my dishwasher, but thanks to the non-stick outside of the fryer basket and the interior of the drawer, washing them by hand was simple.

Is the Cosori Air Fryer worth it?

The Cosori Air Fryer is ideal for those searching for a large, easy-to-use air fryer. It's ideal for families because of its large capacity, and the 100 included recipes are simple to follow and ideal for those looking for midweek supper ideas.

Other air fryers I've used have multiple modes for different types of cooking, such as grilling and roasting, but the cosori air fryer max xl is limited to air frying. However, it excels at this, properly cooking frozen meals, meat, and vegetables while also reminding you to shake with the appropriate modes.

The Pros and Cons of Air Fryer Usability

 Pros

It features a digital display, so it will last longer. My first air fryer was a little Bella Air Fryer, and after about a year of cooking, the temperatures on the dial started to wear off.

  •  Has a large cooking surface area

  • The basket and drawer easily slide in and out.

  • Makes extremely delectable cuisine

  • It includes 100 dishes, including Chicken Tikka Drumsticks and Lemon Pound Cake.

  • Is it simple to clean? (says dishwasher safe, but I always recommend cleaning anything nonstick by hand)

  • A preheat button is included.

  • For air fryer beginners, there are an unbelievable number of presets to choose from.

  • A one-year warranty (which can be extended to two years for free during the first 14 days of purchase) and a 90-day money-back guarantee are included.
I've never used either because my air fryer has been wonderful since I bought it a few months ago.

  • Because I cook all of the dishes on this blog in the cosori air fryer xl, they always turn out perfectly.

Cons

While I enjoy using the air fryer, there are a few points to consider.

  • The buttons on the touch screen are a little noisy.

  • There isn't a rotisserie option.
Check out the Power Air Fryer Oven if you're looking for this feature.

  • It may take a few days to get used to the temp/time button because you must change between them. I still make mistakes now and then.

  • When you pull the basket out to shake it, the timer pauses and then resets at the full minute when you put it back in, which can cause cooking times in a recipe to be wrong if you open it numerous times. For all air fryers, I always use and recommend a small separate timer.
